details
Ryan Brewer’s ongoing book project Cosmogenesis documents the development of space sculpture, a theoretical system of material interventions linking the surface of Earth to the planet’s upper atmosphere. The thesis ultimately proposes sculpture as a source of sustainable, renewable energy through the use of future technologies. The progression of the project coincides with research and reflection pertaining to tantric ideologies of void, illusion, and cosmic cycles. The book documents years of writings, sketchbooks facsimiles, and sculptural processes of fabrication, installation, and performance stills.
